Joshua David Pivato

The great, great, grandson of a movie projectionist who was killed by a stack of film reels falling on him, Joshua David Pivato is a director and writer who has cinema in his blood. At the heart of his work lies a fundamental belief that no matter how dire the circumstances, people possess the ability to rise above them, a conviction that imbues his art with an unmistakable strength and resilience. At the young age of 12, Joshua’s short stories were featured and read at several writing festivals in the Greater Toronto Area. At age 14, his short film “Murk” won Best Drama at the York Region Film Festival. He went on to study Theater Arts and Film Studies at the Toronto Metropolitan University and soon after produced and released his independent short fiction film “Scuzzy Wildlings” in 2017. 

Joshua’s vision took a turn, being deeply impacted the suicide of a dear friend. This ignited a profound fire in him and has led him to use his art to share hope. In 2022, Joshua founded Looking Glass Cinema and passionately leads as a writer-director where his mission is to contribute to the magic of film by breathing new life into the medium. He is now working on his first feature film “The Great Method” with Oscar Nominated producers Purattu Film (Hanging Gardens: Red Sea Fest Winner, Biennale Selection), as well as his short-film thriller, Pocket Watch.

A versatile artist, Joshua is also an actor, powerful vocalist and songwriter. Joshua has been featured in Canada’s most widely read Italian-Canadian magazine, Panoram Italia, and on Canada’s CHIN International for his performance of the song, ”Bella Ciao”.


Krystal Lawton

Krystal Lawton is a United States Army Medic turned actress. The majority of her career has been on stage in Musical Theatre and stage performance, which she grew up studying and performing from passion. After leaving the military with an assortment of new skills (martial arts, weapons training and survival), she attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles, California (AMDA) for acting, where she obtained skills such as the Alexander Technique, Stage Combat and On-Camera performance.

Krystal made her debut film acting performance in the pilot for a mystery web series called “The Runaway” as Paulina Thorpe and went on to be featured in an assortment of big brand commercials as the face of their products – such as Walmart and Home Hardware.

She continues to write music and screenplay, as well as hone and perform her acting skills in an assortment of short films, music video and commercial productions.


Nicholas Raponi

Nicholas Raponi is a journalist and filmmaker who has always had a passion for the written word and a deep love for film and media. He saw journalism as a means to shape and reflect the narrative of our society and emerging culture, a belief that propelled him into the world of storytelling. He studied Journalism at Toronto Metropolitan University, where he would further hone his skills in broadcasting, camera technology, and editing in the Radio & Television department.

Nicholas began his career as a freelance journalist, covering mainly music and sports. Over time, he transitioned his writing and networking skills into the world of film, co-founding Looking Glass Cinema. Under this banner, he ventured into scriptwriting and successfully co-wrote and co-produced a feature film. He remains committed to writing and developing films, TV series and other scripts, perpetuating his passion for storytelling in various forms.


Adam L. Blucher

Adam Blucher, our boots on the ground in the UK for LGC, is based in Watford, England, where he leads our video game and animation division with a dynamic blend of artistic vision and technical expertise. After journeying through self-teaching and artistic development, Adam transitioned into the film industry in 2019 and has since established himself as a meticulous set designer. His work on acclaimed series like Umbrella Academy, American Gods, Titans, FUBAR, and Murdoch Mysteries showcases his talent for world-building through the creation of intricate set pieces, vehicles, and interactive props that bring depth and realism to each production. Known for his attention to detail, Adam’s designs are crafted to enrich the narrative, offering immersive experiences that captivate audiences.

Adam’s talent for world-building also extends into the video game arena as an avid modder. Using Bethesda’s Creation Kit, he developed a Motte & Bailey-style settlement within Skyrim and Skyrim Special Edition, featuring NPCs and hidden secrets that make the game’s world feel alive and engaging. His mod, celebrated by the gaming community with over 320,000 views and 83,000 downloads, reflects the same dedication to creating vibrant, interactive environments that he brings to both his film and game work.
